FAQ

Common questions

When does the advisor say AVOID?
AVOID fires when the 90-day trend points down faster than the reserved discount is worth locking in — i.e. locking in 12 months would cost more than staying on on-demand as the market softens. The verdict is grounded in your specific monthly spend, workload predictability, and current reserved discount, so the same GPU/provider pair can flip verdicts as market conditions shift.
Does this account for my contract status?
Yes. The checkout form takes an optional contract status (active, expiring, lapsed) so the advisor can adjust its verdict — a lapsed contract with a stable trend gets a more aggressive AGGRESSIVE call than one where you are mid-renewal window with a renegotiation pending.
What happens if my workload is poorly predictable?
A poorly predictable workload (rated 1-2 out of 5) gets a more conservative verdict because locking in reserved capacity on a workload that might shrink exposes you to sunk-cost risk. The advisor flags this explicitly in the email and recommends MODERATE or AVOID even when the headline discount looks attractive.
